Our clinic has the greatest number of Physical Therapists in the country who extensively train in the Sequential Manual Therapy method and use it exclusively for treatment. While treating and training together, our therapists stay current on the most recent advancements and techniques in the field. By providing varied scheduling options, including some Saturdays, Sale Physical Therapy provides a seamless treatment experience for you and your family, enabling you to access treatment at times that best meet your schedule and treatment needs.

What should I expect during treatment?

We assess with gentle passive movement of all spinal joints to specifically determine the tightest area of the body, i.e. the area requiring greater compensation from other parts of the body. We free the tight areas by using a variety of treatment techniques such as muscular contractions and muscle balancing. Treatment continues until all areas exhibit increased movement. We find the body's own muscle actions results in longer-lasting results.

What should I expect after a treatment?

Each person is unique and responds differently to treatment. Some soreness may occur as the body adapts to the changes and increases mobility of the tissues. Additionally, this soreness may also be a result of increased circulation resulting in a detoxification process. Regardless of the result of the soreness, the discomfort usually resolves within 48 - 72 hours. Drinking plenty of water helps to decrease the soreness.

What is the usual treatment course, frequency, and duration?

In our experience, most patients receive a 50 - 70% improvement in at least some of their symptoms within 6 visits. We have found that initially a treatment frequency of once every 2 - 3 weeks is most beneficial, and then as the symptoms decrease, the frequency of visits also decreases. Usually the client notices changes in flexibility and/or symptoms within the first 1 - 2 treatments. Duration of relief will normally increase as the number of tight areas decrease. Remember every client's treatment will be individualized to meet specific needs in response to treatment.

How can this be used for wellness and prevention?

When restrictions are removed from muscles and joints, it allows the body to function at a higher level. Then, more energy is freed up to respond to the environment and be used for work, play, and recreation. This gift of prevention can enhance sports performance, decrease degenerative changes, and optimize health potential.

Wellness and prevention is not covered by insurance and not related to injury or ailments. This care does not require a prescription.
